Mallow United come out top in local derby with Mallow Town in the Skechers U14 Cup
Another cracking Cup Final in Turners Cross going all the way to penalties................

This eagerly awaited Mallow local derby in the Skechers U14 Cup did not disappoint in Turners Cross.

United took the lead through Cormac Cooney in the first half. Town came back and equalised through Jamie McAuliffe but Cormac Cooney, with his second, put United 2-1 ahead on the stroke of half time.

Town came back strongly in the second half but the United defence, and especially their keeper and Man of the Match Diarmuid O'Riordan kept everything that Town could throw at them out. However in the very last minute Town got their equaliser through John Downey.

On to extra time, where nothing could seperate the sides.

United went on to win on penalties with keeper Diarmuid O'Riordan excelling.

It was yet another great schoolboys Cup Final in Turners Cross and both teams deserve great great for a superb match.
